How does SEO work?

A simple outline to how SEO works in practise:

1. The internet user types what they are searching for in their chosen search engine.

2. That search engine analyses its filtered options and returns listing results which closely match the users search terms. The search results will be listed in priority order, depending on how closely that site matches the search terms.

3. The user selects the result which most closely matches their search terms. The search engines’ ranking system ensures this is likely to be one of the top 3 results.

4. The user is then taken to that website where they are actively looking for that product or service.
